We had a packed week and particulary enjoyed the walk up the Puy de Dome, the views were spectacular! We also enjoyed Vichy (very sophisticated)and Chatelguyon. There are also great wlkas around Chateauneuf les Bains. Many thanks also for the update on the Footie scores!!

Thank you for introducing us to this region by lending us you house. You have made a fantastic original house of the mill and ours. Highlights have to be the walks, especially the Fais d'art from Chapes Beaufort, Thiers is lovely town with a lot of history. Too many other things to mention, they are there to discover.

Thank you very much for a week's refuge in tranquility. It is lovely to sleep by the sound of travelling water. We found so much to do and see far more than a week allows. Certainly this taster of Auvergne has given an apetite for more.

We have had a lovely week. The waterfall was beautiful, it is a nice and easy walk. We have done some great walks, the Sioule valley, from Chatauneuf les Bains direction North is really beautiful. In the volcano area is much more to see than just the Puy de dome. All the glasses of wine, breakfasts etc on the sun drenched terrace the great time the kids have had with the dogs Luca en Jimi, In short a super holiday!!

After half a year already back and this time the week passed by even quicker! Enjoyed the country thanks to the beautiful spring weather. I’m jealous that you are staying here and we have to go back to the Netherlands!

For us it was the first time in the Auvergne, it was a discovery! We already know this won’t be the last time. It is a beautiful area which doesn’t suffer too much of the tourism just yet.

Thank you very much for showing us around the mill. We had a lovely time here and especially enjoyed seeing the buzzards, stars and green scenery. A great spot to relax.

We have enjoyed the lovely weather, your hospitality, the courgettes / cucumbers out the garden, the freedom and space and the chats we have had with you. Also Skipo and Trijntje (our dogs) had all freedom to go wherever they wanted. We’ll be back!

Lots of wildlife to spot including; kites, buzzards, lizards, red deer, wild boar, sparrowhawkes, red squirrels and toads. The view from the Puy de dome is well worth the climb (I imagine it was well worth the climb, we took the bus!)

We have had such a relaxing 2 weeks here. We arrived with a body full of stress, the beautiful house, the sound of the water, the trees, the animals and your hospitality gave us the prefect holiday feeling. The kids have enjoyed the local surroundings together with your pets; Alfie, Luca, Nelson, Sinbad and Blanco.

We regret we can't stay another week! There are still so many walks to do. We did realise that all the walks are marked out and very easy to follow. We have done the walk to "les trois cuves". We ate our sandwiches and peddled in the waterfalls!

Many thanks for a wonderful holiday. The house and local area were just what we needed - peaceful, quiet, unpretentious and welcoming, so many beautiful walks + not enough time means we'll definitely be coming back to visit!

We have had a great holiday. This is not a part of France we know but will certainly revisit. Fantastic scenery and so quiet. We will have to return to see the mill when you have finished the renovation!

Thanks for your hospitality, we really enjoyed the stay and love the area. Wish you lots of luck with the renovation of the mill. Barbecue, Les Buissons (restaurant), cascade, Puy de Dome, Puy de Sancy, Clermont Ferrand, Vichy, Le Meandre de Sioule, were some of the many highlights of a great holiday!

We came here thinking that we had rented a normal holiday home but it is a lot more than that. Despite that we have only been here for one week you have given us the feeling that we were visiting friends. Just like all the others we have enjoyed the tranquility here (which was not suprising because the kids were constantly with you).

At arrival we had a warm welcome from Cyndi and Darren and of course Luca was there as well. The house was very cosy and easy to keep clean. The surroundings are so relaxing and we have enjoyed the many view points, like the Puy de Dome which we can reccomend. We have had a lovely diner at the restaurant Les Buissons reccomended by the hosts.

We were the first renters of the miller house. It was a wonderful holiday, the nature is so pure here, very beautiful. If you like walking you have come to the right address. The vulcanic area with the Puy de Dome is a must. At arrival we appreciated the hospitality of Cyndi and Darren, we wish you lots of luck with Moulin des Chauteix.
